Awaawaroa House - by Cheshire Architects is an extraordinary project. A set of pavilions, some clad in canvas to evoke old style camping and sitting on a site overlooking a beautiful Waiheke vista. The interiors are a mixture of raw and refined. This image showing more polished cedar panelling against rough sawn larger panelling. You’ll also note the THOM Five Gang Rotary Dimmer in Cast Brass! Our Cast Brass is available lacquered however these clients specifically asked for their faceplates to be supplied unlacquered to enable a natural ageing process to occur with the metal. I love this photo and how beautiful the switch looks against it’s backdrop. The brass will continue to soften and patina over the years. A perfect addition to this honest and thoughtful project.
Aesop opened their first store in New Zealand last year which was extremely exciting for all Aesop fans - myself included! Wonderful for THOM to be specified. Designed by Pattersons Architects of Auckland. Seen here - the THOM Cast Alloy looking very much at home against the stunning wood panelling and all that industrial galvanised metal!
But we're back with some new finishes and combinations. Matte Black get's a fancy little update with a Brushed Brass knob. Our Cast Alloy is ready for action against rough sawn timbers, concrete walls and industrial fixtures. And our Copper's got cooler - going matte - matte finish with a matte black knob!
